My name is Paul Deskins, and this is my story of how I became the owner of Deskins Motors in Pikeville, Kentucky. 
    After I graduated from high school, I took my first job in 1952.  That position was washing cars for Pikeville Car Sales, a used car lot located in Pikeville, Kentucky.  I stayed at this position for approximately two years.  One day, the manager asked me if I would be interested in selling cars.  I told him yes that I would like to try.  From that point, I sold cars for eight years.  In 1960, I was promoted to sales manager by the owner.  I worked as the sales manager until 1964.  I then told the owner that I intended to quit, and that I was going to go into business for myself. 
    On April 15, 1964, I started my own used car company.  I sold used cars until 1973.  I then purchased a new car franchise from Potter Motor Company.  This was a Dodge and Jeep dealership.  On January 15, 1973, Deskins Motor Company was first introduced. 
    The one thing that I have enjoyed most over the years is meeting new customers, and taking care of my old customers and friends.  I can assuredly say that Deskins Motor Company offers the best service in the East Kentucky region.

Hello, my name is Dave, and I am the General manager for Deskins Motors Company. I am a veteran of the United States Air Force, and I have 18 years of experience working in the car industry. I am a native of Huntington, West Virginia, and currently reside there with my wife and wonderful three children. The reason I love Deskins Motors is their employees and the professionalism that is shown to everyone. That is the reason I drive three hours a day, everyday, so I can be a part of the Deskins team.

 I have worked as a receptionist for Deskins Motors for four months.  I am a native of the Pike County area.  I came to Deskins from the media and communication field.  I enjoy talking with customers while directing each one to our exceptional staff who takes care of the customers' automotive needs.

I am a former businessman and educator who has returned to my roots and where my life began in the automobile business. Eleven of those thirteen years I ranked in the top 10 as the zone sales master. I worked eleven years for Moore auto doing management and sales. Now I have made Deskins my home for the past six years. I enjoy helping people make the right buying decisions. All together I have 30 years of sales and management experience.
